1964 Fender Musicmaster
This ’64 Fender Musicmaster sounds like a mid-’60s Stratocaster’s neck pickup, and the ¾ scale neck is a joy to play.
The single-coil pickup measures 4.67k and delivers that ’60s Stratocaster sound!
Originally Daphne Blue, this ’64 Musicmaster was stripped of its finish, likely in the early 1970s when it was common to do so. I’ve never come across Kluson tuners that look this rusty, but somehow turn smoothly and work great!
Specs: 1964 Fender Musicmaster ¾ scale with a natural wood finish. All original except for the stripped finish, a ’72 neck plate, and a recent refret.
Original tuners, decal, nut, frets, knobs, electronics, and Brazilian rosewood fretboard with clay dot fret markers. The neck is a beautiful flamed maple piece. It’s a Fender short scale at 22.5 inches and measures 1.5″ wide at the nut. Neck date is Sep 64, original grey bottom pickup is dated 10/26/64, and the pots are Clarostats dated 26th week of 1964.
